Our facility is currently looking for an experienced trainer and barn manager who can take charge of feeding and overseeing 100 horses, manage lesson and trail horse programs, and maintain the barn and grounds. Responsibilities of the Trainer and Barn Manager
This role is more than just feeding horses. The right candidate will oversee the daily care and management of a large herd of 100 horses boarded at the facility. This includes:
Feeding and nutrition management: Ensuring all horses receive proper feed and supplements. Experience with feeding round bales and managing hay inventory is essential.
Training and riding: Providing lessons, training horses, and leading trail rides for clients. The candidate must have extensive riding experience and be comfortable working with riders of all skill levels.
Barn maintenance: Supervising the barn crew to keep stalls clean, fences repaired, and the facility safe and organized. Jump in when necessary, we all help keep the barn.
Equipment operation: Operating tractors for moving hay bales and maintaining pastures.
Client interaction: Building strong relationships with boarders, training clients,
trail riders and lesson clients, ensuring their horses receive excellent care and their riding experience is positive.
